What the hell was that Arsenal? That was the worst first half of football I’ve ever seen, you were worse than you were when Man U thrashed you 8-2! at least you had a shot in that first half?! it was painful to watch the game to be honest, Man United were all over us that first half and I was scared that Falcao would end his drought against us! Thankfully that didn’t happen but how can Arsenal not beat a weakened Man United squad that didn’t have Wayne Rooney or Micheal Carrick in?

Our goal came late in the 2nd half, thanks to Theo Walcott and a lucky deflection of Tyler Blackett to give Arsenal an advantage in the race for 3rd place and avoid the qualifier match that 4th place would have to play before the league starts in August. We play Sunderland this Wednesday which is now a must win and then we finish off against West Brom on Sunday, one point would be enough but a win would be much better in my opinion, lets just hope that Arsenal don’t switch off again and screw up this chance to get 3rd and an FA Cup win or it would be a disaster of a season to end up with almost nothing!

Ospina is a good goalkeeper, their is no denying that but he’s not world class, I would rather have De Gea than Ospina as first choice, although he is a step in the right direction…I don’t see Chelsea letting Peter Cech to come a rival club…should have kept Fabianski…he was a class keeper that has gotten better since joining Swansea City but Wenger wouldn’t play him as often as he wanted too which I think was a big mistake

Our defence is a shambles! it was all over the place against Man U and Swansea lately, although injuries during the season have not helped the cause at all. Perhaps buying a few defenders to cover injuries would be beneficial to the team but as to who they could be is another matter.

Midfield Wise, we are doing well here, we have Alexis Sanchez, Mesuit Ozil, Santi Cazorla but perhaps the Gunners could use a leader in this part that could lead the team into the future…Morgan Schneiderlin perhaps? Illkay Gundogan? Marco Reus? We have the money to strengthen but Arsene is afraid to spend money, even though all the other teams around him do it year in and year out.

Our strike force…Giroud is not good enough if Arsenal truly want to contend for the Premier League next season and we never really play Theo Walcott upfront, no idea why! Danny Welbeck isn’t good enough either to lead us forward so we need to do what we’ve needed to do for a few seasons now and spend big like Chelsea, Man U and Man City, that is what it takes to win trophies in this day and age and it’s time Arsenal did the same, because at this rate….England could lose it’s 4th spot Champions League place if we continue to do badly in the competition and Italy do better so that would mean only the top 3 in the Premier League would get Champions League Football so if we don’t do something about it soon….chances are we will have to settle with Europa League Football in the future because I see Manchester United spending big time, they’ve always purchased Depay!  and the season isn’t even over yet! But who can Arsenal purchase that could be a prolific scorer and get Arsenal into that 1st place and win trophies?

Christian Benteke would be a great purchase and the lure of Champions League Football could be enough! Liverpool are also after him but Europa League football may make him think otherwise

Edinson Cavani, big name, good scorer, could easily play for Arsenal but would Arsene spend big to get him? that remains to be seen.

Edin Dzeko, Chelsea are apparently interested in this striker who is always on the bench and appears to be on his way out of City…well perhaps a move to London is in order?

Jackson Martinez has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Spurs for a few years now…perhaps this will be the year one of them finally make that purchase! hoping it will be Arsenal that do so as he is a good player and could morph Arsenal into a football titan in England once again.

Arsenal, we need to have a good summer, no more avoiding spending big, the fans need to see that you take the league seriously, we pay the highest season tickets! We deserve to have decent players coming in each season! Chelsea, Manchester City, Man United and even Liverpool do it every season and yes Arsenal have brought in Sanchez and Ozil in recent years but we need a shake up all around in order to challenge for the league like we once did in 2004

Best Players Today

  • Coquelin
  • Sanchez
  • Walcott
  • Ozil
  • Giroud
  • Cazorla

Best Players 2004

  • Henry
  • Bergkamp
  • Lehman
  •  Ljungberg
  • Pires
  • Campbell
  • Vieira
  • Reyes
  • Parlour
  • Cole
  • Keown
  • Lauren
  • Wiltord
  • Silva

Bit of a difference their as in my opinion, the entire team back in 2004 was perfect, well connected with one another and went a whole season unbeaten. Alot needs to change to get Arsenal back to a Tittle Challenger once again because as of right now, they will never win the Premier League, not with the team they have right now.
