Not the start Manchester United will have wanted tonight in Holland as their Champions League campaign was halted by a shocking 2-1 defeat at the hands of PSV, Memphis Depay’s former club and despite him scoring against them in the 41st minute, their lead was short lived and before long, they were 2-1 down. It just wasn’t enough to give the Red Devil’s all 3 points tonight, leaving them to fall behind Wolfsburg who won their game 1-0 against CSKA leaving United 3rd in their group. Not only a loss to contend with but United also lost Luke Shaw to a suspected Broken Leg which is never funny and I wish him a quick recovery and best wishes but hey, he’ll likely be back before Jack Wilshere ever is!!

Not a good night if your a United fan but I’m sure you won’t be that disheartened and that you’ll bounce back and still qualify but personally, you’ll need to perform better then that to do so, Wolfsburg will be tough as will CSKA, especially the away games so the home games will need to be the winners and perhaps a tough couple of draws in Germany and Russia should be enough to at least get 2nd place or face the Europa league again.

Man of Match: Depay

Man U UCL Points: 0

Next UCL Game: Wolfsburg at Old Trafford- A MUST WIN!
